However, for my latest project (Quarter Life Crisis), we couldn't get permission to shoot in a lab. <br /><br />Sooo, we turned an apartment into a "lab." Admittedly, it wasn't close to reality; however, it did have a "soul," due to the effort we put in to transform that space into our set. And as a comedy web series, it fit our vibe well enough.<br /><br />I wonder if the same thing can happen on a stage. Maybe if you have enough resources to do ANYTHING (ie Lucas and the Star Wars prequels), you lose that soul, but I'd like to think the craft, art, and dedication of many people contributing to the set gives it a soul of its own.<br /><br />That said, I also enjoy the challenges of making things work with the limitations of reality. :)<br /><br />PS - If you're interested, you can check out QLC at www.bay51.comL.
